Bike Park Soszów (Wisła) – berms, berms, roots, roots

Bike Park Soszów is a new MTB spot, built in 2023. It offers 7 lines, including two flow trails, full of berms and five enduro trails, full of roots. Together ca. 6,5 km of trails.

Traditionally, let’s start with the easiest trails. However, unlike in other bike parks, it will not be an ordinary smooth path with gentle berms. The green line in Soszów (Funn) is, indeed, smooth and has gentle berms, but it also has tabletops. And they’re not that small. The end of this trail really surprised me, because I never expected several meters of jumps on the green trail.

The blue line (B-Line) is also a flow trail, but quite specific. It has a lot of tight and steep berms, with tabletops crammed between them. There’s always something going on there and if you know how, you can definitely have fun. I had trouble riding this trail smoothly. In several places I was afraid that if I speed up enough to jump over the table, I would not be able to brake in time before the berm.

I’m sure a lot of bikers ride this trail while almost always using the brakes, so washboards probably form quickly. I was there in May and fortunately there was no problem yet.

The three red lines in Soszów are similar in nature, i.e. they are natural trails with a lot of roots. In places there are berms and smaller or larger jumps. The largest of them is located on Melancholijna.

It’s hard for me to rank them in terms of difficulty or “coolness”. I liked Purchawka the least, and I had the best time at Karamba, although Melancholijna was also cool.

I didn’t ride the other two black trails. From what I saw on YouTube, Pamela also has roots and steep sharp turns, so it is similar to the red ones, only more difficult. DH Cup is more difficult and contains several gaps of several meters.

I like diversity, so I liked that I had the opportunity to ride both enduro and flow trails in Soszów. I really enjoyed riding on the green one and it wasn’t too easy for me, like in other bike parks. Blue is specific and I think everyone has to form their own opinion about it. The red ones are all similar, they are not particularly interesting, but they are not boring either.

I give a plus for the lift staff who hangs and takes down the bikes. I was also pleasantly surprised by the lack of queues for the lift, even though I was there on a weekend with nice weather. Maybe not many people know about this place, but I think it’s worth visiting, unless you’re a complete beginner.
