Pieniny is a small mountain range in the south of Poland and the north of Slovakia. The most famous peaks – Trzy Korony and Sokolica are less than 1000 m high but they offer great views on the Dunajec river and Tatra Mountains. There are also other attractions available like castles and raft trips down the Dunajec on traditional wooden rafts.

One of my first thoughts when I visited Czerwińsk nad Wisłą was that it looks like open air museum. Wooden houses from 19th century and a monastery from 12th century is what makes this village unique.

One of the best known places in Polish Bieszczady is Wetlińska Polonyna and Chatka Puchatka (eng. The House at Pooh Corner) – the highest mountain hut in this mountain range. Hiking trails to these places are easy, suitable also for children and elderly. If you like to soak up views at low altitudes, come to Poland and see this part of Bieszczady :)
