Which bicycle routes in Poland and other countries are worth cycling? Where to go near Warsaw and Wrocław? Here you will find reports from my shorter and longer cycling trips on a cross bike. If you ride a cross bike, a gravel bike or a trekking bike, you will find various ideas for bike trips here.

Pieniny Mountains – small but beautiful

Pieniny is a small mountain range in the south of Poland and the north of Slovakia. The most famous peaks – Trzy Korony and Sokolica are less than 1000 m high but they offer great views on the Dunajec river and Tatra Mountains. There are also other attractions available like castles and raft trips down the Dunajec on traditional wooden rafts.

Biking and hiking in Kitzbühel Alps

Wide, nice valleys, beautiful views from the top of the mountains and the best – 20 km downhill! It was my first biking trip in mountains and I have to repeat it :)

The Castle of the Masovian Dukes in Czersk

Through orchards to the gothic castle in Czersk

Did you know that only 35 km from Warsaw you can visit the Castle of the Masovian Dukes, located in Czersk which is one of the oldest strongholds in Mazovia? Actually now it’s only ruins but it’s great idea for one day biking trip which includes also nice surrounding fruit orchards.

czerwińsk nad wisłą

Czerwińsk nad Wisłą – unknown historical village in Mazovia

One of my first thoughts when I visited Czerwińsk nad Wisłą was that it looks like open air museum. Wooden houses from 19th century and a monastery from 12th century is what makes this village unique.
