The House at Pooh Corner in Bieszczady Mountains

One of the best known places in Polish Bieszczady is Wetlińska Polonyna and Chatka Puchatka (eng. The House at Pooh Corner) – the highest mountain hut in this mountain range. Hiking trails to these places are easy, suitable also for children and elderly. If you like to soak up views at low altitudes, come to Poland and see this part of Bieszczady :)

tarnica in bieszczady mountains

Tarnica – the highest peak of Polish Bieszczady

Tarnica is 1346 m a.s.l. and is the highest and the most popular peak of polish part of Bieszczady mountain range. It’s easy to get there and it offers nice views but in summer weekends you have to be prepared for many tourists.

carynska polonyna bieszczady mountains

Caryńska Polonyna in Bieszczady Mountains

Bieszczady Mountains are known for their wide open polonynas – meadows located in the upper zone of mountains. They offer beautiful landscapes at low altitudes which makes them accessible even for people with not the best condition. One of places worth to visit is Caryńska Polonyna in Bieszczady National Park.

wildfahrte ferrata

Wildfährte – ferrata with great views and medium difficulties

One before last day in Austrian Alps I made a trip from Habsburghaus to Karl-Ludwig-Haus through via ferratas Kaisersteig and Wildfährte. It wasn’t long and hard journey so it was perfect for me this day, as I didn’t feel great.

haid-steig

Via ferrata Haid-Steig in Rax: I liked it!

The best via ferrata I climbed during my journey in Austria in June. It was a challenge for me, but I didn’t have to struggle to do it. It also offers great views and is pretty long.

raxalpe

Through thickets to Raxalpe

After closed mountain huts in previous days, this time I came across closed trails and overgrown paths, which looked like noone walked there for few years. The route ended at Habsburghaus located in beautiful scenery of Raxalpe.

hochschneeberg

Schneeberg – the highest mountain range of Lower Austria

You won’t find high mountains in Lower Austria. The highest peak – Hochschneeberg (Klosterwappen) is only 2076 m high but it doesn’t mean it’s not worth to visit. I had beautiful weather and views were so lovely, that today I had serious problem with choosing which photos to show you :)

hohe wand ferrata

Via ferratas in Hohe Wand

Hohe Wand is a mountain ridge close to Vienna. It’s low (the peaks are ca. 1000 m), you can quickly get there from Poland and there are via ferratas in all degrees of difficulty. That’s why I chose this place to try my first ferratas.

tatra mountains slovakia

Polish Comb at Slovakia – it was supposed to be easy trip

Beautiful route leading along a brook in Studená Dolina and through two saddles: Prielom (2288 m a.s.l.) and Poľský hrebeň (eng. Polish Comb) at 2200 m a.s.l. First part of route was easy trial with lovely views of brook and waterfall but Prielom and Poľský hrebeň gave us a hard time.
